The challenge

When business information is scattered, operations slow down

Growing businesses often keep stock, sales and purchasing in separate places — notebooks, spreadsheets and disconnected tools.

  • Manual stock tracking

Counting and updating stock by hand takes time and leads to mistakes.

  • Poor inventory visibility

It is hard to know what you hold, where it is and when to reorder.

  • Disconnected purchasing and sales

Purchase and sales records kept apart make it hard to see how one affects the other.

  • Difficult multi-site management

With several shops or warehouses, owners rarely see one complete picture.

  • Limited operational reporting

Preparing reports by hand is slow, and decisions wait for the numbers.

  • Manual point-of-sale processes

Handwritten receipts and manual cash-ups invite errors and disputes.

  • Hard-to-follow customer and supplier records

Balances, prices and history sit in different files.

  • No central source of information

Without one system, each team keeps its own version of the truth.

The solution

One platform for the core of your operations

IBP brings your catalogue, stock, purchasing, sales and reporting into a single system, so everyone works from the same records.

  • Catalogue, stock and movement history in one place
  • Sales, POS and purchasing in the same system
  • Customers and suppliers on record
  • Shops, warehouses, users and roles under your control
  • Dashboards and reports built from the same data

In detail

What you can do with IBP

A closer look at the main areas. The full list is on the features page.

Inventory management

Know what you hold, where it is and how it moved.

  • Product catalogue

Manage products, categories and units of measure — including cartons and pallets — one by one or by file import.

  • Barcodes and labels

Register barcodes per unit, print shelf and product labels, and look items up by scanning.

  • Stock by location

See what is where, down to the shop, warehouse and bin.

  • Stock movement history

Every receipt, sale, adjustment and transfer is recorded; corrections are added, never edited.

Sales & POS

Sell at the counter or on account, with tax and documents handled.

  • Point-of-sale till

Sell at the counter by scanning or searching, with prices calculated by the system and receipts for customers.

  • Cash-drawer control

Open and close cashier shifts with blind cash counts and end-of-shift reports.

  • Payment channels

Record cash, Telebirr, CBE Birr, card, bank transfer and store credit, including sales paid in more than one way.

  • Price tiers and promotions

Set shelf prices and quantity-based price breaks, and run promotions.

Purchasing

From the request to buy to the supplier's bill.

  • Purchase requisitions

Raise and review requests to buy before committing to an order.

  • Purchase orders with approval

Orders above set amounts route for approval, and nobody approves their own.

  • Goods receipts

Receive against orders, including partial deliveries, and capture lots and expiry dates where tracked.

  • Supplier bills with matching

Match supplier bills against orders and receipts to catch quantity differences.

Shops & warehouses

Run more than one site from one account.

  • Shops and warehouses

Run more than one shop or warehouse in one company account, with stock tracked by site.

  • Bin locations

Organise each site into areas, aisles, racks and bins, with separate sales-floor and backroom bins.

  • Shop-floor replenishment

See what is empty on the shelf and needs refilling from the stockroom.

  • Transfers between sitesAdd-on module

Move stock between sites with in-transit tracking, so short deliveries stay visible.

Protect accounts with codes from an authenticator app.

What is IBP?

IBP — Inventory & Business Platform — is the business management product from ABA Nexus Technologies. It brings inventory, sales and POS, purchasing, customers and suppliers, shops and warehouses, users and reporting together in one system.

Who is IBP designed for?

Businesses that buy, hold and sell goods — such as retailers, wholesalers and distributors — including those with several shops or warehouses and teams who need different levels of access.

Can IBP support multiple shops and warehouses?

Yes. IBP supports more than one shop or warehouse in a single company account, with stock tracked by site and bin. How many sites you can run depends on your subscription.

Does IBP support POS?

Yes. IBP includes a point-of-sale till with barcode scanning, cashier shifts and cash-drawer control, several payment methods per sale and receipts for customers.

Does IBP handle VAT and other taxes?

Tax rates are configurable. IBP supports VAT, turnover tax (TOT) and withholding tax, with rates that change from a chosen date, and customers can be marked VAT-exempt using their certificate.

Which payment methods can I record?

At the till you can record cash, Telebirr, CBE Birr, card, bank transfer and store credit, including a sale paid in more than one way. Which methods are enabled is configured for your company.

Is IBP available in Amharic?

IBP's interface is in English, with Amharic and Afaan Oromoo translations in progress. Invoices and other generated documents can show Amharic names and text, and dates can be shown in the Ethiopian calendar.

Does IBP work offline?

IBP can be installed as a web app. Stock movements captured while the connection is down are queued on the device and sent when it returns.

What are the add-on modules?

The core modules are part of every subscription. Lot and serial traceability, multi-site transfers, the B2B portal, demand planning and scheduled report delivery are add-on modules that are switched on per subscription.

How do I access IBP?

IBP runs as its own application, separate from this website. Use the “Open IBP” button on this site to go to it and sign in.
